Dear Reader,

We aren’t egotistical (or irrational) enough to think of the store as an error-free operation, but there are certain things we hope never to mess up. Customer orders are at the top of that list… and yet, here we are, asking our entire customer base: Did you order a copy of Blue Highways, by William Least Heat-Moon, from us?

We remember talking to a customer about it. One of us even remembers typing the order into the “customer orders” spreadsheet. The book is now in the store, but we somehow have no record of who ordered it! Please let us know if it was you.

Book Club Starts This Week

We still have a couple copies of Sakina’s Kiss in the store, if anybody wants to crash-read it this week. (It’s short, though Kate immediately wanted to reread it upon finishing.) As a reminder, we’re having two meetings to make sure we can fit all of the interested folks, but you only need to come to one! The meetings are on Tuesday, August 19, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 24, at 5 p.m. Please come to whichever one suits your schedule better.
